Hi-diddly-ho, neighborinos! Welcome to an easy, breezy, beautiful Tromping Around report, containing only bits of Albany gossip that I haven't seen appear in any other local news outlets yet. Here we go!
A Vermont Creperie is Coming to Downtown
Spotted in this Craigslist job posting: evidence that Burlington-based The Skinny Pancake is opening its first location outside of Vermont right here in the good ol' Dirty Albs. Your humble Albablogger's prognostication: they're going to be moving into the former PSP space on Pearl.
A Mysterious Burger Shop Appears

This page, featuring only a single picture of the logo in the profile pic, appeared on Instagram a week or so ago. Thus far, Burger Bop has no other internet presence. Where did it come from? Where is it going? Downtown, apparently, but we may have to wait a while for more info.
Etrice Gallery is Finally, Maybe, Probably Going to Open
Speaking of things that are mysterious and things that we have to wait for: Etrice Gallery, which has been in the works at 76 North Pearl for what feels like about three years now, should be opening for its first show with local artist Alyssa Objio in June. The event this crew put together in 2018 at Lark Hall should give you a sense of the vibes to expect.
Shrimp Replaces Weiners
The space next to the TU Center previously occupied by the somewhat uncomfortably-named Dallas Weiners is about to be taken over by the possibly even more uncomfortably-named Ballistic Shrimp. At the moment they don't seem to have updated their website to replace the default menus and pictures yet, but they do say that they'll be open in June. Maybe there will be shrimp at that gallery opening?
Vintage Events in the Warehouse District
Here are posters for two big vintage sales events coming up a few weeks apart in almost the same location in the Warehouse District:

Fun!
A Hookah Lounge on Washington
An establishment called Puf Hookah Lounge is seeking a conditional use permit for the long-empty space at 204 Washington (right next to Mamoun's).
That's all for now! If you have any other bits of Albany info that you think I ought to be Albablogging about, leave a comment below.
